Warlock’s pets can be their assets. Pets of a Warlock function similarly to that of a Hunter’s. These pets absorb great damages for you as the master. By that instance, the Warlock can stand away from close range fights thus saving their health. It is more strategy and skill planning base type of play for a Warlock player. Bear in mind that if you start as a Warlock, you might not be as strong as other characters but as you level up, you will be a great threat to their safety. Once you have gotten a pet, the excitement increases.

Considering that the Warlock is not suitable to hand to hand fights, your weapons will be non other than your spells. However, on casting spells, you will be depleting your mana reserves. But the good thing on being a Warlock is, you can convert your HP into mana. This would be your edge over other characters in the middle of every battle.

Herbalism, Alchemy and Enchanting would be the best professions to choose. Do not waste time on choosing professions like Blacksmithing, Fishing or Skinning because they do not fit well to your character. You will also be needing cloths for casting your spells so Tailoring is also a good choice. Choosing a very strong primary profession to be supported by a secondary profession is vital in earning money which you can use in purchasing needed items.

Pets, as stated earlier can be great assets for the Warlock. The first pet that you can get as a Warlock will be a useless imp. But as you reach the tenth level and so on, you will have the chance to use strong damage absorbing pets like Voidwalker, Succubus, Fellguard, Fellhunter and the Infernal.

Since the Warlock specializes on long ranged warfare, you have to learn the art of making spells. Learning spells are the crucial moments of a Warlock. If you do not know how to cast powerful spells then you’re dead. There are three main spells which you could use like Affliction, Demonology and Destruction.

Affliction spells affect mainly the health of your enemies over time. This is very effective in battles because they are very hard to break. The Demonology spell on the other hand can completely disable your enemies. However, it requires you to learn the Ritual of Summoning. Destruction spell is the type that requires you to move a little bit closer to the battleground. But as the name implies, it inflicts great quality damage to opponents.

Although the Warlock may not be a strong combative character in the World of Warcraft, playing it the right way sends shivers down the spine of your opponents.
