WoW
Pet Guide
Pets are wonderful creatures in the World
of Warcraft. They do multitude of tasks which make them as
must-have for a WOW character. They can enormously
increase your attack as well as defense capabilities in
any kind of raids, battles, dungeons or PvP
type.
Let's
begin this WoW pet guide. There are a variety of pet
types. Bear in mind that not all of these beasts are
tamable. You would need to select from these species like
Hyenas, Sporebats, Bats, Spiders, Dragonhawks, Serpents,
Crocolisks, Wolves, Scorpids, Crabs, Wind Serpents,
Ravagers, Cats, Warp Stalkers, Raptors, Carrion Birds,
Turtles, Owls, Boars, Tallstriders, Nether Rays and Bears.
Among these pets, cats are the mostly chosen basing from
observation. Bears are also good pets to
have.
Just like the real pet in our world, it is a necessity for you
to feed your pet to keep it loyal to you and happy to accompany
you in your quests. By feeding your pet, you will earn loyalty
points. Your pet’s happiness is an essential factor when it
comes to dealing and absorbing damages fro you during bloody
battles. It is a good investment to keep your pet well fed and
happy.
You
can get a pet from buying it on a NPS or by acquiring it
from a quest. Some are also extinct because they are player
made. For Hunters, pets usually are classified into three
functionalities such as Tanks, DPS and middle-of-the-road
pets. For every category, you will learn that there are many
advantages as well as disadvantages.
Speaking
in general for any WOW characters, there are basically three
broad categories of pets. These are Companion pets, Combat
pets and Guardian pets. Companion
pets are, as the term implies, are those that always visible
partners to you as a character. They can be purchased or
could be picked up as a drop. “Mounts” which are being
acquired by players while playing World of Warcraft can also
be considered as pets.
Combat
pets, on the other hand are very useful to pet dependent
characters like Warlocks, Hunters who are naturally nature
lovers and also Death Knights, Druids and
Priests.
There
are also pets in the World of Warcraft which are classified
as “Guardians”. These
beasts are the types which can not be controlled. However,
they can be summoned at will. These creatures also come to
aid you when the need arises.
Opposite
to the Guardians are companion pets. These pets are the
tamable ones. Basically, they just follow the character
around which increases its visible appeal. Other names of
these pets are Follow Based pets or Vanity pets.
If
a character wants to decrease the time needed for him to
move from one place to another, they can basically ride on
them. This idea can be of great benefit to the character
especially long distance travels.
Speaking
of damage absorbing and damage inflicting capabilities of
pets, here are some specific pets to choose for respective
roles. Wolves, Raptors, Carrion Birds, Core Hounds, Hyenas,
Wasps and Tall striders are the best pets to choose to
inflict great damage as well as slay a great number of
enemies.
For
the type of character vulnerable to damage, choose from
Worms, Turtles, Bears, Crabs, Rhinos and Gorillas. These
pets can save you from large amounts of damage as well as
death due to their absorbing capabilities.
